Overview

East Penn is seeking a qualified Ergonomist to join our team on site. The Ergonomist will play a key role in evaluating and improving workplace environments, tools and processes to optimize worker well-being and performance. This role focuses on identifying ergonomic risks and solutions for the prevention of workplace injuries. The Ergonomist collaborates with Management, Engineering, Workers and Health and Safety to implement ergonomic best practices across the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory compliance with relevant standards
  • Management and execution of internal Ergonomics program including but not limited to training, auditing, injury prevention and control strategies.
  • Evaluation of injury/ incident rate data, workplace environments, tools and processes to identify risks and develop solutions to reduce workplace injuries.
  • Collaboration with Management, Health and Safety, Engineering and Employees regarding Ergonomic policies/procedures, design criteria, projects and best practices to improve workplace safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Ergonomics, Kinesiology, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Certifications such as Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) desired. Work experience is strongly valued, as relates to a Manufacturing Environment, including Athletic Training, Physical and Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment, including musculoskeletal injury prevention, assessment and workplace solutions.  
  • This this an on-site position.
