Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Data Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support while also leveraging your analytical skills to interpret data and derive insights that drive business decisions. As we strive for excellence in our operations, your contributions will be vital in ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will have the opportunity to engage with various departments, facilitating communication and the flow of information. Your analytical mindset will allow you to handle datasets, generate reports, and assist in making informed business choices. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chairman of the Suggestion Committee with all aspects of the suggestion program, including running monthly reports and attending weekly meetings.

  • Manage time and attendance tracking, call-offs, and documentation for hourly employees in engineering departments.

  • Coordinate new hire and transfer paperwork, schedule annual Health & Safety Training, and distribute monthly safety tailgates.

  • Handle general office duties: answering phones, sorting/distributing mail, and ordering supplies.

  • Support meeting logistics and create PowerPoint presentations.

  • Compile and interpret data from various databases to assist Manufacturing Accounting and Materials & Inventory Management teams.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MSR, and Dayforce

  • Advanced Excel skills: exporting data, running macros, creating graphs/charts, and analyzing data

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities

  • Excellent typing and proofreading skills; high attention to spelling and grammar

  • Ability to interpret data to support various departments

  • Comfortable handling confidential information

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Dayforce Time and Attendance system

  • Understanding of company policies

  • Experience with advanced Excel functions and data analytics

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a support role with general office operations

  • Exposure to data analytics and cross-departmental collaboration

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or higher, with experience in data analytics

Core Competencies:

  • Self-motivated and dependable

  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
