Responsibilities

  1. Provide Engineering support to Manufacturing, Quality, H&S, Sales, Costing, and Maintenance on Diversified products, equipment, and tooling.
  2. Prepare and deliver information, technical reports, and presentations to management, customers, vendors, and technical partners.
  3. Contribute to concept generation and ideation processes.
  4. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of proprietary information.
  5. Perform other duties which may become essential to the position.
  6. Participate in regular technical reviews throughout all phases of a project.
  7. Interact with production and engineering at all levels.
  8. Travel worldwide for the company as required (possibly up to ~25%)
  9. Interface with internal and external customers to develop new processes.
  10. Create, maintain, and update published technical information.
  11. Support other Process Engineering personnel as needed.
  12. Represent East Penn as a technical interface with Equipment Suppliers.
  13. Support daily operations of the existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
  14. Track the performance of processes to ensure the process’ ability to fulfill EPM and customer performance and safety requirements.
  15. Apply knowledge of mechanical and plastics engineering principles to processing, tooling, robots, machines, measuring devices, etc.
  16. Contribute to bringing products and processes from idea to proof of concept, through to the final, manufactural product.
  17. Provide improvement concepts for manual and automated processes.
  18. Assist in the design, development, integration, and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and instrumentation.
  19. Validate new molds and equipment.
  20. Develop process specifications, setup sheets, and procedures for manufacturing processes.
  21. Attend industry related technical conferences, seminars, and/or trade shows.
  22. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical equipment and tooling.
  23. Perform calculations and tests on products, equipment, and tooling as directed by a senior engineer.
  24. Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to design products such as tooling, robots, machines, measuring devices, etc.
  25. Responsible for ordering/purchasing tooling from vendors, including EPM’s Central Services.
  26. Uses computer-aided design software and/or graphic tools to update drawings, design simple tooling, and design simple mechanical machines or mechanisms.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

  1. Typically, with less than 5 years of Engineering experience.
  2. Experience with the manufacturing processes preferred.

Education/Certification

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or scientific discipline.
  2. Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline preferred.
