East Penn is currently seeking a Process Engineer who will interface with East Penn’s engineering, quality, and manufacturing departments to develop the cover assembly process parameters and monitor the cover assembly processes in conjunction with production personnel.

1. Provide Engineering support to Manufacturing, Setup, Quality, H&S, Sales, Costing, and Maintenance on Diversified products, equipment, and tooling specific to cover assembly.
2. Prepare and deliver information, technical reports, and presentations to management, customers, vendors, and technical partners.
3. Contribute to concept generation and ideation processes.
4. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of proprietary information.
5. Perform other duties which may become essential to the position.
6. Participate in regular technical reviews throughout all phases of a project.
7. Interact with production and engineering at all levels.
8. Travel worldwide for the company as required (possibly up to ~10%)
9. Assist Engineers to interface with internal and external customers to develop new processes.
10. Create, maintain, and update published technical information including FMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow.
11. Support other Process Engineering personnel as needed.
12. Represent East Penn as a technical interface with Equipment Suppliers.
13. Support daily operations of the existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
14. Assist in tracking the performance of processes to ensure the process’ ability to fulfill EPM and customer performance and safety requirements.
15. Apply knowledge of mechanical and plastics engineering principles to processing, tooling, robots, machines, measuring devices, etc.
16. Contribute to bringing products and processes from idea to proof of concept, through to the final, manufactural product.
17. Provide improvement concepts for manual and automated processes.
18. Assist in the design, development, integration, and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and instrumentation.
19. Assist in developing process specifications, setup sheets, and procedures for cover assembly.

Experience & Qualifications

• Typically, with less than 5 years of Engineering experience.
• Familiarity with the cover assembly processes preferred.

Education/Certification

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, Thermodynamics, machine program and including related Engineering discipline preferred.
