Overview

East Penn is currently seeking a Per-Diem Occupational Health Nurse on 1st shift from 12 noon-8:30 pm at our on-site, progressive Medical Center.  We are committed to employee safety, health & wellness, and quality.

Responsibilities

Overseeing daily operation of the on site medical department activities and is actively involved in physical assessment of injured employees, determination of severity of accidents and arrangement for treatment of employees by a physician when required. Keeping updated on pertinent OSHA regulations and standards as well as federal guidelines for DOT, amends current procedures as needed. Remaining constantly aware of the environmental hazards located in the plant and stays familiar with employees' work areas. Communicating appropriate information to plant management and staff concerning issues of employee health and safety.

Qualifications

The qualified individual must have a valid PA nursing license, current CPR certification, and excellent assessment skills. Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as a member of our existing Safety & Health Team with a commitment to quality is a must. Previous experience in Occupational Health Nursing is helpful but will consider any RN who can work well with others and has a desire to learn about this challenging field.
