Overview

East Penn is currently seeking a 3rd shift Phlebotomist/MA to perform Phlebtomist and Medical Assistant procedures.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Contacting plant managers on procuring employees on sampling list, performing venipuncture, applying labels to test tubes, applying band-aids, recording information of already sampled individuals and also status changes. 

Other procedures include: maintaining a good relationship between employees and the lab and also keeping a clean work area upon leaving the laboratory.

Performs medical procedures as needed, including spirometry, neurometry, blood pressure, pulse, hearing tests, urine drug

screen, phlebotomy, breath alcohol testing, height, weight, uniform measurements, and basic eye exams.

Molds custom earplugs upon employee request.

Maintains and orders supplies and stock rooms using Somax.

Sterilizes medical equipment.

Maintains medical filing system including establishing new hire files.

Greets employees at front desk, determines employees' needs, and does triage accordingly.

*Maintains regular attendance.
*Ability to work mandatory over time.
Performs other duties as requested.
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.

Qualifications

Previous phlebotomy experience required.  Literate (reading labels, recording various data), some computer experience preferred, basic algebra also used.
